Psychological Treatment FAQs

  • How Can a Psychologist Help You?

At REACH Psychology, we're here to support you in enhancing your emotional well-being, building better relationships, reducing everyday stress, and finding greater satisfaction in life.

We help you understand how your thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, and inner processes might be holding you back. Together in therapy, we'll pinpoint what matters most to you and create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your needs. Using evidence-based approaches, we can support you as you work towards creating meaningful and lasting changes in your life.

Psychology can help with a wide range of challenges—from feeling stuck or stressed at work to dealing with sleep issues or more serious concerns like eating disorders, and prolonged states of anxiety and depression. Review our special areas of interest, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We are here to help.

  • Are psychology sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions are private and confidential. Everything discussed during your psychological treatment stays between you and your therapist, unless you give written consent to share it. Psychologists follow a strict Code of Ethics set by the Australian Psychological Society, which ensures confidentiality is maintained. Violations of this can lead to severe consequences, including suspension or revocation of a psychologist’s registration.

We take confidentiality very seriously. Client information is recorded in case notes and stored securely, both electronically with high-level encryption and as physical files on-site.

  • Does your practice bulk bill?

No, Reach Psychology does not offer bulk billing.

Clients are required to pay the full session fee upfront, and then your Medicare rebate will be processed to your nominated bank account on the day of consultation.

  • Can I get a Medicare rebate for a Telehealth session?

Yes. Clients with an eligible Medicare referral can claim a rebate for Telehealth psychology sessions. For more information regarding this, please see this page on Medicare rebates.
